EXCLUSIVE NEW YEAR'S REPORT! POOR NICK: VANESSA'S A DIRRRTY DANCING MACHINE!
Nick Lachey sure needs to keep an eye on his sexy seductive partying girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo. At 1:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, Vanessa and Nick headed to the JoonBug.com New Year's Eve party at NYC'Marquee nightclub. "Vanessa let loose grinding on Nick and giving him a lap dance in a super short mini dress while swilling champagne," an eyewitness tells Star. "Nick seemed to be pacing himself, kicking back only a few beers and enjoying Vanessa's wild and sexy dancing until 4 a.m"
But, says the eyewitness, Nick's "mood changed as Vanessa stumbled and fell out the back entrance of Marquee. While her friends attended to her, Nick took a step back, seeming annoyed that she had had a bit too much to drink and left her girlfriends to care for her!" Earlier in the evening, Nick and Vanessa co-hosted the "MTV Goes Gold" party at the cable network's Times Square studios, which was televised live and lasted from 11 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. They stood side by side, with microphones in hand, introducing bands (Fall Out Boy, Ciara, etc.) but they never acknowledged they were a couple, never touched (until midnight, that is!); the dialogue was strictly focused on the performers.
When Vanessa, on a podium in Times Square, introduced Nick at 11:13 p.m., who was standing next to her, she introduced him to the crowd: "I'm hanging out now with one of my favorite celebs, Mr. Nick Lachey!" Vanessa then said, "Well, it's been a huge year for everybody, but I think it's been a big year for you, so what do you think in '06 is one big personal highlight?" While everyone was expecting Nick to mention Vanessa, considering she asked for a "personal highlight," he kept it just about his career, telling her, "For me, just the opportunity to come back out and put out another album and have the album debut at number-two, and put my own tour together and have the overwhelming support I've had from my fans in New York and across the country. So it's been a great year. It' been a good '06."
Ouch!A giggly Vanessa then responded, "It sure has!" But when the ball dropped in Times Square at midnight, Vanessa latched onto Nick, on-camera, hugging and kissing and holding onto him. Perhaps they were making up for lost time, considering on Saturday night (Dec. 30), Nick hosted a pre-New Year's Eve party in Las Vegas at Pure Nightclub, while Vanessa stayed behind in New York. Before kicking off his duties as party host, Nick and his ten-person entourage (including his younger brother Drew) had dinner at Social House restaurant, where Nick ate mini kobe burgers and sushi. After dinner, the group headed to Pure, and Nick made a beeline to the stage, grabbing a glass of Dom Perignon first. He then grabbed went on stage, grabbed a microphone, and shouted, "What's up Vegas? It's New Year's Eve Eve and we're going to party like it is New Year's Eve!"
While at Pure, Nick's partying posse, seated in the VIP area, grew to include former 98 Degrees member Justin Jeffre, as well as lovebirds Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin. On a VIP bed to the left of Nick, was Dave Navarro, Nikki Six and New York Yankees star Jason Giambi. On the VIP bed to Lachey's right were Pauly Shore and Shannon Elizabeth. Nick spent the rest of the night drinking Miller Lite and taking shots of Patron with his friends.
