JAMES FRANCO ON LINDSAY: "I HOPE SHE GETS BETTER"
Actor James Franco, who reportedly gave Lindsay Lohan the cold shoulder at a party just days before she checked into rehab in L.A., has sent the starlet his best wishes. "We are friends," he told Access Hollywood, in a segment airing Monday. "I hope she gets better."
Reports claimed that Franco's brush-off to Lindsay prompted her to enter rehab; Lindsay's reps have denied the reports. Franco was at the Sundance Film Festival on Friday for the premiere of his film An American Crime. Lindsay's film Chapter 27 will be screened at Sundance on Thursday. Her mom Dina told Star last week that it was still up in the air if Lindsay would attend the premiere.
Access Hollywood's Tony Potts, who interviewed Franco, said, "It was clear to me that having his name splashed in the headlines with Lindsay's came as a complete shock and surprise to him." Lindsay and Franco worked together in the movie Holiday after meeting at the Prairie Home Companion premiere.
