ANGELINA'S MOTHER DIES AFTER A LONG ILLNESS

Angelina Jolie's mother, Marcheline Bertrand, died of cancer Saturday afternoon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Jolie said Sunday in a news release.

Angelina's mom died with her daughter, her son James Haven, and Brad Pitt at the hospital, according to Angelina's news release.

Bertrand divorced Angelina and James'  father, Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight, soon after Jolie was born and raised both children on her own.

As an actress, Bertrand had roles in 1982's Lookin' to Get Out and 1983's The Man Who Loved Women. A private funeral is being planned, and instead of flowers, Angelina asks that donations be made to the Women's Cancer Research Institute at Cedars-Sinai.
