Ashlee & Pete Heat Up NYC!
Ashlee Simpson arrived with her new flame-du-jour, Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz at the opening of his New York City bar Angels & Kings late Monday night, April 30. The two spent the night cuddling on a corner couch and drinking scotch on the rocks, an eyewitness tells Star.
"They were completely absorbed with one another," admits the eyewitness. "Ashlee kept stroking Pete's hair and whispering into his ear. They made a small effort to talk to their friends sitting at the table with them."
Around midnight, Pete told the crowd it's been his dream to have his own bar. "I think it is important to have a place to call your own, that way you always get in and never have to complain about your crappy friends getting kicked out," he said.
One investor added, "This will be a place that anyone can go and have sex in the bathroom and not get in trouble."
Later that night, Pete and Ashlee put the investor's comment to the test. "Pete whispered something into Ashlee's ear. She smiled and they both got up and went into the bathroom together," says one source. "They were in there for about 10 minutes." No word on what the couple were doing during their "secret meeting," but we have some ideas!
