Pax Is Officially a Pitt!
Pax, the new addition to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's growing family, can officially attach “Pitt” to his last name, a Santa Monica court official said Thursday.
Pax Thein Jolie-Pitt, 3, was adopted by Angelina in March from a Vietnamese orphanage. He joins the Jolie-Pitt clan as their fourth child – accompanied by his three siblings, Maddox, 5, Zahara, 2, and Shiloh, 1.
Vietnamese law makes it difficult for unmarried couples to adopt, so Jolie adopted Pax on her own, but has since been raising Pax with lover and life partner, Brad Pitt.
Jolie formerly put in a request to the court to change her new adopted son’s surname to Jolie-Pitt back in April – a similar request that she made in January 2006, when she asked the same court to officially change the name of her other adopted children, Maddox and Zahara, to Jolie-Pitt.
Wouldn’t it be easier to just get married?
