Sarah Silverman Takes A Jab At Paris Hilton At MTV Movie Awards

Sarah Silverman certainly left a lasting impression as the host of the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday when the comedienne cracked a crude joke at the expense of heiress Paris Hilton in her opening monologue. The usually confident and happy Hilton looked anything but happy when the camera panned to her following Silverman's remark.

Hilton, who reported to jail after the awards show, appeared awkward and uncomfortable follwing Silverman's jokes. Earlier in the evening Paris told reporters on the red carpet, "I'm really scared but I'm ready to face my sentence. Even though this is a really hard time, I have my family, my friends and my fans to support me, and that's really helpful."

The show eventually turned its focus back to movies! Captain Jack Sparrow sailed into victory as Pirates of the Caribbean: The Dead Man's Chest won the movie of the year award, and its star, Johnny Depp, walked away with the award for best performance.

"This is the man who did it all right here, Johnny Depp," Jerry Bruckheimer said when Depp joined him onstage to accept the night's last popcorn trophy, "Without him, we wouldn't be here." To which Depp jokingly replied, "I'd like to thank this man and Disney for not firing me first."

Some of the night's other big popcorn winners at the Gibson Amphitheater were Mike Myers who was given the Generation Award, previously given to Tom Cruise. Sacha Baron Cohen collected two awards, including best comedic performance for his role in Borat. "Unfortunately, Borat can't be here tonight," he joked. "He's been feeling the pressures of fame and had to check himself into rehab."

Cohen also took home the best kiss award, with his on screen kissing partner Will Ferrell. The two shared a kiss in Ferrell's comedy Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. The two comedians shared a steamy kiss on stage that ultimately ended with the two jokesters rolling around on the floor.

Jack Nicholson won best villain for his role as a mobster in The Departed. The best fight award went to a upbeat Gerard Buttler for his fight against "The Uber Immortal" in the epic 300.

The most genuine moment of the night came when 9 year-old Jayden Smith won for his breakthrough performance opposite his father, Will Smith, in The Pursuit of Happyness." Young Smith accepted his award by video from Toronto with his dad by his side and his mom behind the camera.

The two hour broadcast put the award handouts on hold to allow soul diva Amy Winehouse to perform her song, "Rehab." Rhianna also graced the stage and performed her new single, "Umbrella," featuring Jay-Z.

The highly anticipated Transformers, due out July 4, was named best unseen summer movie.
