Kate Winslet New Face of Tresor
WWD reports that Lancome has named actress Kate Winslet as the new face of its classic fragrance, Tresor.
"Tresor is a beautiful fragrance, it's subtle and romantic like a whisper," says Winslet, who received a standing ovation when she entered the room of 250 people gathered at the Musee Rodin for the announcement.
Lancome's general manager, Odile Roujol, praised the actress, saying, "She is a woman of immense talent, one of Hollywood's most sought after actresses. On and off screen, she is a woman of emotion."
Winslet joins a list of elite Lancome spokespeople, including, Daria Werbowy, Elettra Rossellini and Clive Owen, who was recently named spokesman for Lancome Men.
Advertising for print and television will begin in the fall, and the announcement was broadcast live on the internet.
