Oprah Tops Forbes Power List

Media mogul Oprah Winfrey has climbed her way back to the top of Forbes' annual "Celebrity 100 Power List," a list that ranks the rich and famous based on earnings and media coverage.

Winfrey, who last topped the list in 2005, was the top moneymaker with an estimated income of $260 million in the last year alone.

"The woman is making history every single year," Forbes associate editor Lea Goldman said. "It's not as if she's sitting on her laurels enjoying the show."

Ranking in second place is golf tycoon Tiger Woods who pulled in $100 million.

Absent from the list last year but ranking in third this year is Madonna. The pop star's Confessions tour was the highest-grossing tour by any female artist in history, said Goldman, and the adoption of her baby boy from Malawi put her back in the spotlight.

Dropping from No. 2 to No.4 on the list are, rockers The Rolling Stones, followed by Brad Pitt. (Angelina Jolie is No. 14 on the list!)

Family man, pirate and heartthrob Johnny Depp came in sixth and was the year's highest-paid actor with an income of $92 million.

Singer songwriter Elton John ranks seventh while Tom Cruise came in at spot No.8. Jay-Z ranked ninth and director extraordinaire Steven Spielberg was No. 10.
