Lauren Graham Moves to NBC!

September 18, 2007

With the hit CW series Gilmore Girls behind her, Lauren Graham has inked a seven-figure development deal with NBC, according to Variety.

The colorful peacock plans to structure a series project around Graham, who has been in high-demand since Gilmore Girls closed shop last spring. Her move to NBC also marks a reunion between her and casting executive VP Marc Hirschfeld.

"I cast Lauren on NewsRadio, 3rd Rock From the Sun and Seinfeld early on in her career," Hirschfeld said. "I've been pursuing her aggressively for the past several years after her outstanding work on Gilmore Girls."

As for why Graham chose NBC? "After having spent so many years representing the frog on the WB, I am especially comforted to be part of the only other network with an animal mascot," she joked.

NBC is currently eyeing writers to pair up with the quirky brunette.
