Star Exclusive: Richie Sambora Back In Rehab!
Rocker Richie Sambora is back in rehab, this time at the famed Cirque Lodge in Utah where Lindsay Lohan is currently receiving treatment. The 48 year-old Bon Jovi guitarist checked into a private room at the drug and alcohol treatment facility on Monday, September 17, sources tell Star.
Richie entered a detox program at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles in June. After his weeklong stay in the facility, Sambora admitted to NBC’s Matt Lauer, “I was just drinking too much, and I needed to get my life together. I'm still in therapy, but it's good; it's great. I feel fine.”
It’s been a traumatic year for Richie. His 12-year marriage to actress Heather Locklear ended in divorce, his rebound relationship with Denise Richards fell apart and his father died of lung cancer.
Bon Jovi recently released their latest album Lost Highway in June, and the band has several tour dates scheduled in late October.
A spokesperson for the band told Star, “Richie is continuing the on-going treatment he began in June.”
