K-Fed: How Much Dough Can He Get For Child Support?
Kevin Federline must stay on his best behavior, especially if he wants Britney Spears to keep signing those checks now that he has been awarded temporary custody of their sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
According to J. Michael Kelly a Santa Monica, Calif.-based divorce attorney, "Now that Federline is the children's primary caretaker the courts can grant him $58,000 a month to take care of his two sons," assuming Spears is making $700,000 a month.
"Under California law," Kelly adds, "The children must have the same lifestyle as their mother since she is considered an individual who falls under a high bracket income."
Kelly, who does not work for Spears or Federline, says K-Fed stands to earn more if he is granted sole custody in the event Britney doesn't clean up her act.."Federline stands to pocket around $77,000 a month in terms of providing fulltime for the toddlers."
And get this, Federline does not have to pay a single penny in taxes because, "California law and the IRS state the primary caretaker doesn't have to give anything to the government since the monies are being used to support children."
The bottom line, Federline can really clean up financially assuming he continues to prove he is Father of the Year.
