Eva Longoria's Wedded Bliss

November 21, 2007

Newlywed Eva Longoria says the joy and excitement she felt on her wedding day haven't worn off yet. Granted it's only been a little over four months since Longoria tied the knot with basketball star Tony Parker, she tells Parade, "Every time I think of my wedding, I just smile. I just think what a beautiful man he is. It's funny, because it's so cliché for women to say, ‘My wedding was the happiest day of my life.' But I find myself saying that and thinking, 'Yes, my wedding was the happiest day of my life so far.'"

Longoria also finds contentment in working charitable causes like Padres Contra El Cáncer (Parents Against Cancer) and the Entertainment Industry Foundation/Callaway Golf Foundation, where she tries to raise awareness of ovarian cancer. She's also started her own charity program called Eva's Heroes. "We help intellectually disabled children grow and play," she explains. "We set up after-school programs, and we've put on golf tournaments to raise money where I prove that I’m a terrible golfer. But I can drive a mean golf cart and wear the cute outfits."

Cute outfits? Sounds like something Longoria's Desperate Housewives character would say. "There are going to be a lot of new adventures for Gabrielle. What I love about her is that she can go in any direction because she's kind of the free-spirited one."
