Rihanna Works Her Good Girl Image
Rihanna's latest album may be titled Good Girl Gone Bad, but in reality the Barbados native stays away from the dark side of fame. The clean-living singer, whose own father battled substance abuse problems, takes a no-tolerance stance on drugs. "People don't do them around me. I would never allow it," Rihanna says in the January issue of Allure. "The people who are around me are people that I love, and I don't want to see people that I love hurt themselves."
In keeping with her good girl image, Rihanna says she hates to turn down autograph requests. "The hardest thing for me is to say no," she explains. "I feel like a bitch. But sometimes I don't have a choice."
Rihanna also dished to the mag about her relationship with Beyoncé Knowles. "She's Beyoncé, and I'm [Jay-Z's] new protégée. When we see each other we say hi. We're not enemies, but we're not friends friends."
