Jennifer Hudson & Queen Latifah Team Up For Secret Film
Hollywood is buzzing about Jennifer Hudson and Queen Latifah teaming up to star in The Secret Life of Bees. Dakota Fanning and Alicia Keys are in negotiations to join the film as well, Variety reports.
Based on the 2002 New York Times bestseller by Sue Monk Kidd, Bees is set in the 1960s and centers on Lily Owens (Fanning), a 14-year-old girl who runs away with her caregiver (Hudson) to a South Carolina town. There, the girl is taken in by an eccentric trio of beekeeping sisters (Latifah, Keys, and Sophia Okonedo). Owens soon learns that this town holds the secret to her mother's past.
