Mischa: "I'm 100% Responsible"
When Mischa Barton, 21, was arrested for a DUI in L.A. on Dec. 27 she was just another young Hollywood star to get popped.
On the morning of Jan. 10 she finally answered some burning questions on Ryan Seacrest's morning KIIS FM radio show.
"Obviously I'm 100% responsible for my actions in this case," said Mischa.
"I'm really disappointed in myself. I don't know what to say about it, except that I'm not perfect, and I just don't ever intend to do something this stupid again."
When Ryan pressed her on what went down she said, "I was out with some friends and actually hadn't been driving earlier in the night, but I wanted to get my car home."
"I can't really get into specifics," she continued. "We've got the case coming up, and I'm not supposed to say anything about what happened. I was pulled over."
What's most shocking is that Mischa — who lived in L.A. for years as she taped The OC — did not have a California driver's license at the time she was pulled over.
"I didn't have a license," she confirmed to Ryan. "I grew up in New York, the land of people who don't have to drive. It's always been the toughest thing about living in L.A. for me. I usually try not to get behind the wheel."
Mischa — who was calling from the set of her film Homecoming that she said was shooting "back East" for another week and a half — also told Ryan she will next go to Sundance to promote Assassination of a High School President, which also stars Bruce Willis.
She hopes to "do some skiing there," she said.
For no reason given, Mischa said she was "not doing anything" for her 22nd birthday on January 24.
