Michelle Williams Returns To New York

January 24, 2008

Michelle Williams, Heath Ledger's ex and the mother of his 2-year-old daughter Matilda, returned to New York Wednesday night after flying home from Sweden where she was filming a movie.

Williams arrived at her Brooklyn home around 8:20 pm/ET in a black Suburban SUV which pulled parallel to the center door of the home's three-door garage, an eyewitness tells Star. Michelle sat in the back of the car, holding Matilda on her lap clutched up against her. A bodyguard exited the front passenger side and helped Michelle and Matilda out of the car.

"Michelle's face was pale, tired and drawn," says the eyewitness. "She wasn't wearing any makeup and her eyes were puffy as if she'd been crying. Her hair looked like it hadn't been washed for a while and was pulled back hastily. Matilda seemed to smile and giggle innocently when she saw all the flashing lights from photographers."

After Michelle and Matilda entered the garage, an NYPD representative announced that Williams was not expected to leave the apartment for the rest of the night.

Once inside, Williams was greeted by her mother and her Dawson's Creek co-star Busy Phillipps, who were spotted entering the home earlier in the day. Actress Keri Russell was also seen leaving a card for the family with a police officer.

Fans stopped throughout the day Wednesday, leaving flower and cards, to pay their respects outside Williams' home.

If she had just flown in from an international flight, of course she is going to look tired and drawn, you twit- duh?!?! Why do the tabloids twist things into something they are not at all? How can you sleep at night knowing that you are reporting opinion based on speculative opinions or your thoughts and not fact based completely from what the source has STATED? God, where has America's morals and standards gone?
