The Mary-Kate & Heath Connection
Mary-Kate Olsen and Heath Ledger were good friends, Star has learned, which may explain why Ledger's masseuse first called Olsen when finding his lifeless body on Tuesday. According to a source, the pair hung out together in Soho, where they both had lofts, as well as at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.
"They had fun together and since they lived right around the corner from each other in New York City it was really convenient for them to get together," the source tells Star. "They also spent time at each other's places — Heath enjoyed staying in and partying with friends."
When Mary-Kate and Heath did go out, they often hit the same bars and clubs, a second source tells Star. "They frequented New York City's Rose Bar at the Gramercy Park Hotel and Beatrice Inn, where Heath was a regular."
