Lindsay Lohan: Kleptomaniac?
With a salary tremendously higher that your average joe, Lindsay Lohan can afford pretty much any article of clothing that she wants. So why is she being accused of stealing a mink coat?
According to The New York Post, college co-ed Masha Markova wore her $11,000 blond mink coat — a gift from her grandmother — to a private birthday party at 1Oak in Manhattan in January. Lindsay was also at the party — held for a friend of Stavros Niarchos' — and Masha was seated next to her at one point during the evening. When it came time to leave, Masha went to find her coat — that she had put in a common bin with other jackets — and it was gone.
Two weeks later, Masha was flipping through a magazine and was shocked to see Lindsay photographed wearing her missing fur coat on the night of the party.
"I was actually talking on the phone to my grandmother about something else, and then I flipped through the magazine, saw the picture said, 'I need to call you back,' " Masha told the Post. "It was my coat. It was no doubt!"
Masha contacted the club and when she received no response, she got her lawyer involved. Hours after Lindsay's lawyer, Blair Berk, was contacted, the club contacted Masha and the coat was delivered to her apartment shortly after. But the coat wasn't in the same condition — it reeked of cigarettes and booze and there was a tear in the lining, according to the Post's story.
The coat has since been cleaned and mended, but now Masha wants Lindsay to pay at least $10,000 for the unauthorized, three-week rental.
"I don't see how it could have been an accident," Masha told the Post.

Masha took a risk of putting her coat in the bin with all of the other coats. im not saying that lindsay should or shouldn't pay for it its just that masha could've had the jacket with her throughout the event.

lindsay should pay for the fur coat if she took. i think she took it cause she thinks that she can get anything that she wants even if she steals it. i think she's pretty stupid to do a thing like that!

Lindsay should not have to pay that price but she should have to pay for the cleaning and also who knows that tear could have been there b-4 or she could have done it after but neways no and that masha girl needs to get a job and make some cash insted of trying to just get it from some seleb!!!!!----SeCrEt CeLeBrItY

If the coat is valued at $11,000 dollars, how can you charge $10,000 for 3 weeks rental? Also, what the hell are you thinking when you toss your $11,000 dollar coat "in a bin" with the other coats? Sounds like you deserve to lose it if you can't take any better care of your "stuff.."
