Tom Cruise's Sneaky Plan
Tom Cruise is taking on an impossible mission: getting wife Katie Holmes' dad to play golf with him! Martin Holmes refuses to hit the links with the 45-year-old actor, and, according to sources, Tom is trying to buy his father-in-law's friendship with a membership at the posh Bel-Air Country Club. "Katie's father is not crazy about Tom, but Tom is really determined to win him over," a source tells Star. "Mr. Holmes golfs a lot, and now Katie is learning to play. Tom is a member at Bel-Air, and he's in the process of adding Katie to his membership so Katie can take her dad to play with her." But Tom is hoping that he'll be able to tag along when his wife and her dad go out for a round of golf, so Tom would finally get to play with Martin! "Adding Katie to his membership is costing Tom $150,000 a year. That's a pretty expensive way to try to impress your father-in-law — unless you're Tom Cruise!" Would you like Tom Cruise if he was your son-in-law? Tell us what you think.

Tom promised his father in law to polish his balls if he gives the game a shot.

a person has to be respected who he is, not what he has. Because Scientology gets money from him, treats him like king and he think he is "the king". No he is never welcome in our family!!!!

Why doesn't he just take all his money and go live in outer space. After all isn't that where he thinks he came from in the first place.

no i wouldn't like him at all! Tom is pushing Katie around, forcing her to take a new religion, and forcing her to go EVERYWHERE with him when she doesn't want to! Dump him Kat!
-- toms hot but stupid.
i think katies father doesnt like thim because of the way he treats katie and is too controling if he wants him to like him he should not control katies life so much and let her make her own choices.

No I would not like Tom as a son-in-law. He's seems too controlling and I would not like that for my daughter. I have taught my daughter to be her own person and not be a followerer.

Not really, he seems like a very selfish man. He likes to control the way people think and that is not good. He is a fanatic type of guy. A man that wants to tag along every where his wife goes is a man with alot of insecurity. Who wants to be with a person like him??

Sure, someone can be bought. Jason grows up in a trailer, and his life goal is owning a house. What to do? Marry a homebuilders daughter. Just a boring, local example of someone who sold out.
