New Lindsay Theft Allegation: Star Told You First!
Just days after Columbia co-ed Masha Markova claimed Lindsay Lohan stole her mink coat, comes another theft allegation. But the new accusations, made by Los Angeles model Lauren Hasting, won't come as news to Star readers. Starmagazine.com reported back in April last year that Lindsay allegedly took $10,000 worth of clothes and accessories from Lauren's home.
A year after our original report, Lauren now tells Inside Edition that she wasn't home when Lindsay supposedly raided her closet during an April 15, 2007 house party. Lauren filed a report with police, however, Los Angeles County prosecutors declined to press charges against Lindsay, citing insufficient evidence.
Retired Deputy District Attorney Greg Somes, who oversaw the investigation, said Lindsay was entitled to take some of the clothing and that clouded the prosecution's case.
Lauren — who is said to be dating Shia LaBeouf — says she confronted the Mean Girls star herself, but had no luck. "I contacted Lindsay and said, 'Look, I know you stole my clothes.' She then said I was completely delusional, I was pathetic, I was out of my mind."
