Gary's Gone But CSI Goes On!
It's out with the old and in with the new on CSI.
After bidding a tearful goodbye to series regulars Gary Dourdan and Jorja Fox, fans will meet the newest member of the Las Vegas investigative team, Lauren Lee Smith, this fall.
Smith has been tapped to play Bryce Adams, a smart, flirtatious, and witty non-conformist who entered law enforcement to rebel against her judgmental psychiatrist father.
As for Gary Dourdan, CSI creator Anthony Zuiker tells Star the actor — who was arrested in April for felony drug possession — is doing great. "I talked to him a couple of weeks ago. It is very bittersweet, we are losing him after all of these years.
"Gary is a very, very talented actor and I call him my prince," Zuiker added. "He will go on to do very well in the industry. It is a situation where the show has to evolve and move on. It is a natural thing that happens with all shows including ER when George Clooney left. It was a blow, but ER lived on and we will too — but with a heavy heart."
Zuiker also revealed to Star that the search is on to replace CSI: Miami star Khandi Alexander, who left the show on May 5. He also said he had big plans to nab three major names to guest star on the 100th episode of CSI: NY.

Maybe it's a Godsend as it being a sign that Gary may need help in that arena.I asked God for a sign in'02 to help my bad habits.

W. Brown the the chatracter in CSI Dourdan played was not a najor impact for me. I enjoy the wit and reparte or Sara J.Fox And Grissom W. Petersen. I think the best way for Grissom to leave is to become a teacher that helps out (consults) CSI as needed because like Sara he was tired and decided to be with Sara character. This would keep the characters active for when needed. This would in general keep the story line intact for reruns. ('The Whos The Boss' ending pretty much stoped any rerun residuals for years. The audience was so ticked off it was not watched)

Didn't CSI kick him to the curb because he's a drug addict? I will not miss his presence on the show at all.

Warrick helped make the show, the is changing for the worst!!!! I won't watch anymore!!! Who cares about Sara, let Catherine go, no loss there!

well when the other stars not mentioning any names can go to rehabs ride in cars with their children on their laps and almost kill people get big publicity and people feel so sorry for them , get away with anything....Then this guy gets a little bit of trouble they act as if he killed someone and lets him go...WHY the big WHY question..oh we know anyways take it from there.. But guess what he will get the help that he needs and he will make a BIG BIG come back and the man that fired him will be sorry that he ever got rid of him.

Very sorry to see Gary gone - his last episode made me cry! I've been watching since the first episode and Warrick was a big part of the show. I didn't really mind losing Sarah, her 'romance' with Grissom didn't seem to have any spark. I've been tuning into CSI Miami and actually love it! If Grissom & Willows leave, I probably won't watch it anymore.

Can some please tell me what happend to Jorja Fox (Sara) I miss a couple of episodes and now I dont know what happend to her... what was their excuse for her to leave? Please fill me in I feel lost... Thanks

I have lost all interest in CSI MIAMI and CSI LAS VEGAS after Mondays and Thursdays episodes. I don't think Gary’s personal life had any thing to do with it. They were going to force him out anyway. Why not the actress that plays Catherine? I think she should go. Bring back Lady Heather. First there was Khandi Alexander, Gary Dourdan and NBC’s ( Jesse Martin ), and don’t let us forget he was replaced with Anthony Anderson.

Now that's a waste! Some can't handle fame without blowing it. I hope Gary gets the help that he needs, this should serve as a wake up call. He's in my prayers.
