Was Eva Mendes in Rehab for a Movie?
Eva Mendes shocked friends and fans when she checked herself into celebrity rehab center Utah's Cirque Lodge in January. At the time, her rep said that the 30-year-old actress was "proactively attending to some personal issues." Flash forward four months: Eva has signed on to play a Spanish drug lord in the upcoming drama Queen of the South. Was Eva's stay simply for research? Prominent Hollywood acting coach John Kirby tells Star that he wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. "It's not unusual at all for an actor or actress to go to the extreme of checking into rehab to prepare for a character," says Kirby. "In fact, I would encourage that for my students, because you want to fully immerse yourself in that role." Do you think Eva was in rehab for her role or for a personal problem? coming from a family of actors..doing that for role is a great way to get better understanding of a role your going to play. i have no doubt that if she checked in, she was learning so going for some bs that was supposely written about

There is no way that signing herself into rehab could possibly prepare her for anything except to be phoney about her ability to empathize. What an insult to those that really suffer from addiction.
