Tom Cruise may have found a way to get closer to his two-inches-taller wife, Katie Holmes — customized Nike sneakers with superthick soles! "Tom has always been touchy about his height," a friend of the actor tells Star. "It doesn't help that he tends to marry women who are taller than he is." The 5'7" megastar probably hit on the idea of custom kicks after hearing BFF Will Smith rave about the pair his 5'-tall wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, designed for herself. It looks like Tom may have contacted the sneaker giant for white kicks that would give him an extra boost! "Tom's shoes look like they add one extra inch to his height," says the source.
