The New Bachelor Speaks Out!
Jason Mesnick may not have won the love of The Bachelorette's DeAnna Pappas, but he hasn't given up on finding his soul mate. Jason will now star in his own bid for true love when The Bachelor returns to ABC in January 2009.
"I am just the most regular guy you could ever come across and for this to be happening to me is unbelievable. It just leaves me completely speechless," says the 32-year-old single dad.
So what exactly is Jason looking for in a wife? "I don't want fame or Hollywood or any of that," he says. "I just want a great girl to fill the blank that's in my life."
He adds, "I love my son, I love my work, I love my daily life. All I am missing, really, is someone to share it all with. And what this gives me is a chance to find that. I mean, there's no guarantee but 25 girls? I mean it's a real opportunity to find just one."

Jason was my pick and when Deanna turned him loose I was in shock. Who would walk away from a warm and charismatic man like Jason? Certainly not me.

If I were 20 yrs younger, I would marry him in a minute. He is a classy, down to earth guy. I love how much he shows his love for his young son, and he needs to find a down to earth girl.
