Ryan O'Neal, Son Arrested on Drug Charges
Ryan O'Neal and his 24-year-old son have been arrested for drug possession.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirms to Star that Ryan O'Neal and Redmond O'Neal were arrested this morning in Malibu, Calif. for possession of methamphetamines.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the arrest took place during a probation search related to a case involving Redmond, which took place at Ryan's Malibu home. A spokesman for Los Angeles County Sheriff's told the paper that deputies found Redmond in possession of methamphetamine while a vial of the drug was found in Ryan's bedroom.
Redmond, whose mom is the cancer-stricken Farrah Fawcett, was arrested last year on charges related to carrying heroin and crystal meth while driving under the influence. He pleaded not guilty as part of a deal intended to help him avoid jail. He was sentenced to three years probation and received fines for the DUI charge. He also has a previous drug arrest.
As for the Love Story star, 67, he was arrested last year on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and negligent discharge of a firearm after firing a gunshot during an argument with another son, Griffin O'Neal.
Earlier this year Ryan's estranged daughter, Tatum O'Neal, was arrested while buying drugs in Manhattan. She pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct charges and sought treatment.
Ryan and Redmond were released from the sheriff's station. Bail had been set at $10,000.

It's been a history of drug related problems in that household. I can recall when Farrah hit it big in Charlies Angels, before she met Ryan.After she was with him awhile, I noticed how old she became. Wonder if drug use was happening for years.

Man - that family needs help immediately!!! How can there be an intervention as they all have drug problems. Come on Ryan -- take the first step to get help and hopefully your children will follow. Good luck!
