Dennis Quaid to Meg Ryan: Move On!

September 29, 2008

Dennis Quaid wants his ex-wife Meg Ryan to zip her plumped-up lips and move on.

While promoting her new movie, The Women, Meg talked to several media outlets about her failed marriage to Dennis, saying he cheated on her long before she cheated on him with Russell Crowe.

"Dennis was not faithful to me for a long time, and that was very painful," she told In Style in one of the interviews. She said something similar to Good Morning America, adding: "I found out more about [his infidelity] once I was divorced."

Dennis, who went on to marry a real estate agent named Kimberly Buffington and have twins last November, isn't taking kindly to having his past drudged up — especially because Dennis and Meg have 16-year-old son.

"It was eight years ago, and I find it unbelievable that Meg continues publicly to rehash and rewrite the story of our relationship," the actor told the New York Daily News. "Also, I find it regrettable that our son, Jack, has to be reminded in a public way of the turmoil and pain that every child feels in a divorce."

And, he added a zinger, saying: "I, myself, moved on years ago and am fortunate to have a happy, beautiful family."

Should Meg be able to talk about her past relationship without being attacked by her ex? Should she zip it and move on? Weigh in.

Dennis, ZIP IT! Your mouth AND your pants. As if your son doesn't dislike you enough and your current wife already! You cheated on the boy's mom for years and then you let the media tear her apart. You're a bad father. Shame on you!

Zip it Meg, move on.

It was her life too. Dennis doesn't get full rights to decide when or how things happen or what Meg does or says. In the world of ex husbands, this is just another attempt to control what he has no control over. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Dennis fan as well as a Meg fan.

Definitely needs to move on already. Until she stops pointing the finger and look in the mirror and deal with her inner demons, she will unfortunately never heal herself.

Ya i do think she has the right to talk about it it probably means shes still hurts but she doesnt need to tell the whole world in many different articles especially for her familys sake as well

Crys, the paparazzi were not camped out their door in the nineties which is when Quaid cheated for so long. There were several blind items about him back then. Just because her cheating once came out first, does not mean his cheating for years is somehow right. Now, she admits to her flaws in her interview and does not want your pity - maybe you should actually read the interview?? - perhaps it's time Quaidster does the same. As for their son: I hear he is the one who told his mother to open up about her divorce.
