Rosie O'Donnell Lands New Show
Look out for flying Koosh Balls!
Rosie O'Donnell is returning to the small screen in a variety show that will include celeb guests, musical acts, comedy skits and giveaways.
Rosie's Variety Show will air as an NBC special the night before Thanksgiving, Nov. 26. If successful, it will become a regular series in 2009.
This will mark Rosie's first potentially regular TV job since she abruptly quit as moderator on the The View after a blowup with cohost Elisabeth Hasselbeck in 2007. (Weigh in on Elisabeth's latest View drama.) Rosie is credited for reinvigorating the talk show — and getting it lots of publicity.
Prior to that, Ro spent six years hosting a daytime talk show — The Rosie O'Donnell Show.
Late last year, Rosie was in talks with NBC to host a cable talk show on MSNBC, but the she wrote on her blog that the deal fell through.

I love Rosie O'Donnell and I am glad she is getting a new show and I wish her all the success in the world. We need a new variety show. Why do some people feel they have to put her down?
