Julianne Hough Needs Surgery!

October 27, 2008

Dancing With The Stars' Julianne Hough will have minor surgery to remove her appendix after being diagnosed with endometriosis, which is the development of uterine-lining tissue outside the uterus.

The dancer first checked into a hospital on Oct. 21 after experiencing mild stomach pain. After she was released, the blonde bombshell said, "It turned out just to be a bad stomach." Now it appears to be more serious than originally thought.

On Monday night's show, Julianne said if everything goes as planned, she'll be back next week. Edyta Sliwinska will sub for Julianne while she recovers. Her partner, Cody Linley said, "I'm sad that I'm not going to be with Julianne, but I'm happy that I'm with Edyta."
