Paula Abdul's "No. 1 Fan" Found Dead Outside the Star's Home
An extreme Paula Abdul fan was found dead near the American Idol judge's home.
Paula Goodspeed — who appeared on season five of Idol — is the woman who was found dead in her car outside of Abdul's Los Angeles home on Tuesday evening.
"It looks like an apparent suicide, and the coroner's office [is] now investigating this matter," LAPD officer April Harding said Wednesday.
Goodspeed auditioned for Idol in 2006. At the time, Idol dubbed her "Paula's No. 1 fan" and the L.A.-based artist talked about her love for the former Lakers Girl.
"I really like Paula Abdul a lot," Goodspeed said during her audition. "She's really cool. I'm a really big fan."
Goodspeed added that she often made "life-sized drawings of Paula." The drawings also appear in the nearly four-minute audition segment.
One report states that a photo of Abdul hung from rearview mirror of Goodspeed's car and license plate was "ABL LV."
Additionally, on Goodspeed's MySpace page — which hasn't been updated since April 2007 — she posted a picture of Abdul licking her lips with a caption that reads: "My secret crush, shhhhh."
A rep for Abdul released this statement to Star: "I am deeply shocked and saddened at what transpired yesterday. My heart and prayers go out to her family."

Hope her family doesn't try to sue for money,Goodspeed changed her name to "Paula" and had some creepy obsession issues going on!They should have tried to get her some help when the life-size pictures started to appear.

nobody can comment on this girl about how sick she was. She may of had an illness that went untreated. If you don't know her or her family than you can't determine why she did this. Maybe she was infatuated with American Idiol judge--noone can say for sure but please don't pass judgement!!!

This person was obviously mentally ill & it's just plain weird! The family sounds like they need to seek some therapy if they think the show had something to do with it...that said I hope they recover from this strange tragedy

The media outlets whether it is TV or the internet throws celebrities in your face everyday and wants people to idolize them, then have a problem with people when they do.I have heard lots of even celebrities and other people say they had someone they looked up to and that is what motivated them. She did not harm Adbul but thought very highly of her.
