Jennifer Connelly: Little Will Smith A "Fantastic" Costar
Academy Award winner Jennifer Connelly has worked with big names like Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio, but her costar in the new flick The Day the Earth Stood Still is small... at least in stature.
Jennifer plays the stepmom of 10-year-old Jaden Smith's character in the remake of the 1951 sci-fi flick about an alien (Keanu Reeves) who comes to Earth to warn of imminent doom and befriends a young boy.
"Working with Jaden was fantastic," Jennifer — a mom of two sons, Kai, 11, and Stellan, 5, — tells Star. "I think it's really clear he has a lot offer. He did a great job. [Our characters have] a complex relationship, and I think that's a lot of nuance to ask of someone his age, and I think he did it beautifully. He even seemed to have a good time doing it, which was really a relief."
As reported, Jaden is becoming a sought after young actor recently nabbing the lead in the Karate Kid remake.
And while Jennifer's next film is about saving the Earth, the actress who's married to actor Paul Bettany and lives in New York City, says she's doing her bit to help the planet. "We bought a Prius," she shares. "We recycle. We turn out the light switches when we can — though my husband's better at it that I am."
The Day the Earth Stood Still opens Dec. 12.

he got his acting skills from 2 wonderful actors , his parents,so no wonder he can act the way he does, hes got his life set if he becomes a full time actor as he grows up...

It is no suprise to me that Jaden is such an amazing child actor. His parents are both very talented. The way that they raise their family is very inspiring. It is definately a stable and encouraging concept that more celebrity parents should live by. Props to them both.
