Exclusive: Molly Ringwald is Pretty 'N' Pregnant
Molly Ringwald is adding to her own brat pack! The '80s teen star is expecting her second child, Star has learned exclusively.
"She's a few months into it, and she feels great," an insider reveals.
The 40-year-old actress — who married writer Panio Gianopoulos in 2007 — is currently starring on the ABC Family hit Secret Life of the American Teenager, and her growing bump is the talk of the set. "Everyone is excited about it," the source says. "She's planning on working through the pregnancy."
Producers are scrambling to come up with a story line that could mirror real life. "Molly said, 'There has to be a good explanation as to why I'm suddenly fat!'" Her character on the show has a teen daughter who's pregnant, and a mother-daughter pregnancy would be a hit with viewers, says the source. "It would push the show to its limits."
No matter what, Molly — whose daughter Mathilda is 5 — is looking forward to her next act. "She can't wait to have another baby running around the house. She's overjoyed."
