Madonna In Malawi: Adoption Scheduled for Friday
Madonna is just days away from finding out if her adoption of a Malawi orphan is approved.
A Malawian judge held a closed-door hearing Monday to discuss the Material Mom's adoption application but a ruling has been postponed until Friday.
The toddler, named Mercy, would be Madonna's second child adopted from the African nation. She is approximately three-years-old and her mother died at age 18, just five days after giving birth. There are conflicting reports about whether her father is alive.
Despite the fact that Mercy has grown up in an orphanage, the tyke's grandmother, Lucy Chekechiwa, says she is against the adoption. "Why doesn't this singer pick other children?" Lucy told Britain's The Sun. "It is stealing. I want to go to to court. I won't let her go."
On Sunday, Madge arrived in Malawi with her adopted son David Banda, 3, her daughter Lourdes, 12 and son Rocco, 8.
While there, David spent a few hours with his biological father. "I was very happy to see him," Yohane Banda told The Associated Press, adding that David did not recognize him. "He asked me who I was."
Madonna and Lourdes visited the village of Chinkhota where the singer greeted residents and looked over drawings for a new school.

Is american babies off limits or something. I hate to say it, but enough with the foreign adoption. It's crazy how we are becoming minorities in our own country.

I just think she should stop adopting children that have living relatives. To be honest as far as why they didn't approve her adoption of Mercy but did approve David's, I think they shouldn't have done either. She got David because she is famous and that's wrong. My husband and I had been turned for adoption, not because we were unstable or we didn't have enough money but because he is a diabetic. But some whore like alley cat can get a kid just because she's rich.

I don't understand why they disapprove of the adoption. If the grandmother loves her so much she should have taken care of her instead to putting her in an orphanage. Madonna could give her so much, like an education, love. I can tell you, as an orphan since I was three months old, I thank god that I was adopted and taken to the US. I have had a richer life then I would have had if I had stayed in an orphanage until I reached adulthood.

Madonna needs to get her life together. The music and concerts she promotes are trash.

She needs to adopt kids in the USA, we have orphans here too, first off she is a single mother who wants to give there child to her? If it's a regular person they have no chance! But, why should she get treated differently?

Madonna needs to stop acting like Angelina and take care of the kids she has now. Hey Madonna get a life and put your money to better use then buying kids from foreign countrys and look at all the kids in the USA that needs a mom or someone to take care of them.
