Fergie's Hair Horror
Is Fergie's patchy new 'do the result of a bad hair day or something more?
Nunzio Saviano, senior stylist at Oscar Blandi Salon in New York, tells Star that hair loss among women is common. “It mainly happens because of stress and dieting,” Nunzio explains.
“A strict weight-loss plan — like cutting out fat and carbs — could be the cause.”
But don't worry, Fergie, 34, isn't doomed to a life of baseball caps, says Nunzio.
“She can reverse the loss by visiting a hair and scalp doctor. Or just go with a lighter color, and it won't be as noticeable!”

Fergie appears to have the beginnings of Androgenetic Alopecia, NOT Alopecia Areata.
There's a lot of miss-information being posted here, obviously by a lot of clueless people including Nunzio Saviano quoted in the article. Hair loss in women is not caused by dyeing your hair, you'd have to use 60% volume peroxide five times day everyday to kill your follicles! Extreme cases of not eating such as anorexia can cause hair loss. Most female pattern hair loss is hormonal or due to an auto immune disease. Of course there is Traction Alopecia, which can be caused from extensions or always wearing your hair tightly pulled back. Hair loss is no joke, some responses here are totally moronic, get educated people! Get information, before you comment! -- healthcare worker
