Tori Spelling Throws Splashy Bash for Stella's 1st Birthday

Tori Spelling's daughter Stella celebrated her first birthday with an over-the-top Hollywood bash.

Tori and Dean McDermott invited 100 of their closest friends to celebrate their daughter's first year at a private estate in Encino, Calif., on Saturday. The party took place under a tent — with chandeliers! — and featured a gardening station, cookie-decorating station, ladybug insect zoo, face painting and pony rides.

“Trust me,” a source tell Star, “Tori and Dean went to town to make Stella a real Hollywood style event.”

Among the famous guests who were there with their families include Melissa Joan Hart, Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin, Scott Baio and Larry Birkhead."

Who didn't make the cut? Tori's mother, Candy, and brother, Randy. "Tori's family was not on the guest list," says the insider, who adds: "Everyone who did show up had to sign a waiver form to be on TV since Tori and Dean were filming the soiree for their cable series, [Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood].”

Guests were treated to Rice Krispies Treats with Stella's photo on the front from Edible Gifts Plus, and the party favors were personalized CDs from Name Your Tune with a note that said: "Thanks for coming to my party, Love Stella."

I love little Stella she looks a lot like her mom Tori!!!!!!!! There`s just one thing I wish Tori and her mom Donna can get a long better. I hope they can become best friends and they don`t hate eachother.

Is there a video of the birthday party and where and when will it be posted.

Who wouldn't want a mother like Tori. When she said her children come first, she's one of the very few celebrity moms who say it and actually follow through. Keep it up Momma! YOU'RE THE BEST!
-- Mary

DON'T LISTEN TO THEM TORI IS A GREAT MOTHER AND SO WHAT IF SHE WANTS TO THROW EXPENSIVE AND HUGE PARTIES FOR HER CHILDREN. THAT IS HER BUSINESS AND NO ONE ELSES. COME ON I KNOW IF I HAD THE MONEY I WOULD TOO. SO STOP HATING. SHE JUST WANTS HER CHILDREN TO HAVE THE BEST AND DON'T ALL MOTHERS WANT THAT FOR THEIR CHILDREN. SO STOP HATING AND LET THEM DO AS THEY PLEASE
-- SARA

OMG YOU IDIOTS they are not exploiting their children and they are not having kids for the wrong reasons. COME ON PEOPLE GET A FRECKIN LIFE. You don't even know these celebrities so judging them won't do you any good. And Tori IS NOT UGLY OH MY FRECKIN GOD! She has to be prettier than most of you out there anyways who have nothing better to do than to sit at the computer and bash celebrites. She is GORGEOUS and a good mom. And if you don't like her THEN WHY THE HELL ARE YOU LOOKING HER UP?

I'm with the others--some of these parents (Larry Birkhead leaps to mind!) need to spend more time parenting and less time exploiting their children like cash cows!
-- Noodlemonkey

Seriously most hollywood mom's need to get a life. Are they even having kids for the right reasons? Or are they doing it for publicity when their career is going dry. They get pregnant and throw these lavish parties for publicity. "LOOK I AM IN THE HEADLINES AGAIN!!" Maybe tommorow I will flash a tit for attention!!! Use your money towards something useful to the world!!! By the way Tori you are one step away from looking like a uglier version of a real life looking Barbie!!
-- Paris Hilton Hater!

I think its awful that these celebrities exploid their kids so that they can get their picture in the papers. Instead of having a very lavish and expensive party and probably selling the pic they should take the money and donate it to some charatible cause.
