Shania Twain Reaches Out to Fans
Country superstar Shania Twain has kept a low profile while recovering from her split with husband Robert "Mutt" Lange. But now's speaking out, directly to her fans, and letting them know that she's "managing very well."
In a letter posted Friday on her official Web site, the singer puts her fans' anxieties to rest, assuring them that she's managed to find happiness in her new life. Part of this involved Shania finally embracing her adventurous side. During the past year, she jumped out of an airplane, rode Spanish and Arabian horses, and even went deep sea diving for the first time!
"I'm enjoying my child, friends and family like I haven't in years, and it's great," she says. "I've been experiencing and seeing new things every day, living life with a different and more optimistic attitude."
The reclusive singer split from her husband in May 2008 after discovering he was allegedly cheating on her with Anne Thiébaud, the manager and secretary who worked at the family's Switzerland home. Shania was already looking like she was on the road to recovery back in December when she and the handsome ex-hubby of the "other woman" were spotted shopping together in New York City.
In the letter, Shania discusses the difficulty of keeping a brave face on for her son, Eja D'Angelo, 7, during the whole ordeal. "This is a full time job, as any parent understands, but especially difficult when you are battling your own personal crisis at the same time while trying to spare your child of being affected by your own suffering," she says.
As for the future, Shania promises that a new album is in the works and apologizes for its delay. "Time has a way of making everything right, and it is my hope that good music will eventually come out of it," she writes. "I say 'good music' since I don't want to just throw anything at you, just for the sake of hurrying up to get it out."

Shania has always written her own songs. i have no doubt that the next c.d will be great. by the way, does anyone else think how awesome it was that she dated the other womans husband publicly? Good move Shania!
