Rihanna on Chris Brown Beating: "It Was Ugly"
Rihanna said that Chris Brown had "no soul in his eyes" the night he beat her.
In part two of Diane Sawyer's interview with Rihanna, the singer was incredibly candid, opening up about the night — last Feb. 8 — when her then-boyfriend battered her as they drove in a car and left her on a Los Angeles street.
Rihanna confirmed that — while driving home from a pre-Grammy party — she saw a text message on Chris' cell phone from a girl and became angry.
"I caught him in a lie and he wouldn't tell the truth. So I wouldn't drop it," Rihanna said on Good Morning America. "I couldn't take that he kept lying to me and he couldn't take that I wouldn't drop it — because, obviously, his back is against the wall. The truth is right here with the text message. So it escalated into him being violent towards me — and it was ugly."
She also corroborated the police notes — that he punched her in the face so many times that her mouth filled with blood. "That's all I could think the whole time: When is it going to stop?" she recalled. "He had no soul in his eyes. Just blank. He was clearly blacked out. There was no person when I looked at him."
Rihanna said she knew she had to escape — and did so dressed to the nines in a designer gown. "I was battered, I was bleeding, I was swollen in my face. There was no way of me getting home," she remembered. "My next option was for me to get out of the car and start walking — in a gown and a bloody face. I didn't have a plan. That whole night was not part of my plan.
Saying that she finally broke up with him — after a brief reconciliation — because "I know how to make a decision for me," she doesn't wish him any ill will.
"I don't hate him — at all," she said. "I actually love and care about him and I'm concerned about him doing well. I want him to do well — have a great career, have a great life and grow. And take this as something you had to go through to grow up and learn."

Okay let me say this, if Rihanna wasn't pretty no one would feel sorry for her. If she had a Remy Ma or some messed up face no one would care. She got that baby innocent face so anything she says people are going to be like uhh poor girl. Did everyone forget that Neyo had said how the two of them would constanly fight and she would slap him around when he was on set and he would not even touch her and sometimes they would push each other around. Her album is coming out, it's perfect timing for sympathy sales. Just like Taylor being all over the web. Before Kanye how many magazines was Taylor in, and then tell me she shouldn't tank Kanye. They both are at fault but b/c she's a girl everyone is quick to say he's a monster but she's an angel right. She could say anything there's no video of it and he's not going to talk so she could say he threw her out the car and ran her over and everyone would believe it b/c he's not talking. So i don't believe anything until i see a video of what actually happened. it's funny how women are always saying we are equal and we can do anything a man can do but when it comes to things like this the man is always the monster but if we are equal then both of us should be monsters.
