Tom Brady BBQed Steaks After Exchanging Vows with Gisele
If the whole football thing doesn't work out, Tom Brady could have a career in wedding planning. After all, he and supermodel Gisele Bündchen planned their February wedding in just 10 days — a feat even David Tutera probably couldn't handle!
The low-key wedding, which took place two months after he popped the question to the Brazilian beauty, took place at a Santa Monica, Calif., church with only the couple's parents and Tom's then 18-month-old son, John, whose mom is his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.
"We planned it in like 10 days, and it was perfect," the New England Patriots quarterback says in the December issue of GQ. "We went back to [our] house and I barbecued aged New York strips. We had champagne, a cake, some ice cream. It was a great night. I think you always have this idea that weddings need to be 200 people and you invite everybody, and I'm all for it if people want to do that, but I think there was really something special about just having our parents there."
In April, they had a bigger celebration in Costa Rica, where they own a home and which they call their favorite place in the world. That time, only about 40 guests attended. And NFL stars and supermodels were out — it was family only.
"The thing about it is, the day's for you," he says. "It's nothing personal against anybody, but it's not about them. It's about what you and your wife need for that day."
Tom and Gisele are expecting their first child together in December — and let's hope the wee one doesn't arrive on a game day!
"We find time to spend together," he says of his busy schedule during football season. "But Gisele understands the job requirements. I get some time with her on my day off, Tuesday, and then Wednesday, Thursday, Friday nights. Probably after wins I'm more with her. After losses, I don't think much of anything other than the game. This morning at breakfast, for instance, I was talking to her, but I just wasn't there."

I'm sure their friends would've loved to have attended. Oh well, to each their own.
