New Moon Shatters Records
Were you one of the moviegoers who helped Twilight Saga: New Moon shatter single-day records?
The flick — starring real-life lovebirds Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner — grossed $72.7 million on Friday, its first full day of release. That total makes it the biggest single day of all time, breaking the record set by The Dark Knight, which had a $67.2 million open last year.
In the first three days of New Moon's release, it pulled in a total of $140.7 million domestically — more than twice the $69.6 million haul the first movie in the franchise made last year. That put it third on the all-time domestic chart — again behind Dark Knight ($158.4 million) and Spider-Man 3 ($151.1 million).
There has been a lot of hype surrounding the film, which had a star-studded premiere in Los Angeles last Monday, followed by a special screening in Manhattan on Thursday.
Do you see New Moon? Did it live up to your expectations? Let us know.

what people don't realize is that they have turned themselves over to the sensuality of darkness , watch, incest was always considered taboo now look
becuase of this film it's accepted , and with that and the rest of the moral decay of the country ,well, a economically collapsed america will be the least of our problems -- conscience of america
This part actually sucked ..liked the first one somehow the new moon really sucked...waste of money. enouch economy crisis and with the money they have earned they should create jobs and good things for real life people not make another movie
-- annoyed by the movie
Ehhh...worst vampire series ever...on top of which, The Blind Side, which was actually a movie worth watching, stomped this sorry excuse for a vamp flick...It was so bad that I couldn't even get through the first book, and haven't bothered to watch the movies...
-- NOT A FAN OF THE SHIMMERING VAMP
They both were kick ass movies. I seen New Moon 9 times all ready =D <3

Personally I'm not all that impressed with the Twilight movies,I just keep watching them so I can keep up to speed on what happens.Frankly the Edward character seems completely lethargic and it's down right depressing,Bella does nothing but, whine and spaz out all the time, and Jacob,he's jealous to a possesive degree. I'm usually more a werewolf person than a vampire person but, honestly,I'm NOT going around proclaiming to be on anyone's TEAM.That's retarded and lame.

Please it took a lot for me to get through the book never mind the dopey movie. Obviously, these movie goers aren't cinema buffs.
