ELLEN AND PORTIA IN CAR CRASH
TV talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres and her partner, actress Portia De Rossi, miraculously escaped serious injury on Friday, Sept. 1, in a three-car crash in Los Angeles. Ellen, 48, was at the wheel of her 2006 Porsche Carrera on Sunset Boulevard around 4 p.m. when it was hit from behind in a chain-reaction allegedly caused by a 52 year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. After the crash, Portia, 33, complained of minor back pain and Ellen "had a little neck and back pain, but it doesn't look like it was anything serious," said L.A.P.D. Sgt. Ken Buscarino.
