Beyoncé, Bono & Other A-Listers Rally for Obama Inaugural Event
The list of musicians scheduled to perform for Barack Obama at the Lincoln Memorial reads like the list of talent appearing at the Grammys!
Beyoncé, Bono, Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, Usher, Stevie Wonder, Sheryl Crow and Mary J. Blige are among those scheduled to perform for the president-elect and his family on Sunday afternoon in Washington, DC. HBO will televise the show at 7 p.m. EST.
Interspersed between musical acts will be celebrities — including Jamie Foxx, Queen Latifah and Denzel Washington — reading historical passages, with other celebrities expected to join them.
Despite the immense star power, the event was put together in just over two weeks — upon getting the okay from Presidential Inaugural Committee.
"On that first day, we asked Springsteen, Bono and Garth Brooks within a period of 45 minutes and got three 'yeses,'" executive producer George Stevens Jr. said. However, he added: "The list of stars is impressive. But this is not a show biz, glitzy occasion. It's going to be rooted in history, remembering the great president (Lincoln) who led us through difficult times."
HBO will be offering an open feed to its cable and satellite distributors on Sunday, meaning the pay cable network will be given free to anyone who wants to watch it.

History??? I dont know about that,the only time I can say it is History if after a his term, our economy is back to normal. Otherwise, Im just gonna say "history" is all about Obama being Black. Not because he has teh character to be a president. People are stupid calling this a "history" just because of somebody else's skin color & race .It disgusts me.
