Exclusive — Patrick Swayze's Mom: Pray for My Son!
With her son bravely battling pancreatic cancer in front of the world, Patsy Swayze says she's determined to stay strong for her boy. And she's asking Star readers to keep him in their thoughts.
In the Feb. 9 issue of Star — on sale today — we have an exclusive interview with Patrick's 81-year-old mother.
"Patrick is strong, and he's determined to beat this!" Patsy tells Star. But she knows her son — who was hospitalized for a week earlier in the month — can use all the support he can get, and she adds: "Please tell everyone to keep us in their prayers. Pray for Patrick. I know he has a lot of fans out there thinking about him, and we all appreciate that."
Also, a close friend of Patrick and his wife Lisa's tells Star that despite Patrick's outward confidence — and the fact that he just began writing a memoir — the longtime lovebirds have finally come to grips with the possibility that his time could be growing short, as his cancer has advanced to Stage IV.
"His confidence had always been contagious for Lisa — but the situation is really staring them in the face now," says the pal.

i just know how to say anything but that i truly love patrick and my heart goes outto everyone but especally his mother i lost 2 son,s the last one last year and there is no hurt in the world worst than losing your chid i am so sorry forever one concerned.patrick is special and should have won oscars for his acting he is a better actor than some that has .

I really like Patrick in everything he has been in. I do not think the critics gave him his due. An incredibly versatile actor who will be greatly missed. May you have peace.

Hey Patrick,
I was so sadened to here of your illness. I do not know if you recall but you and Lisa were patients of mine in the simi valley Chiripractic office and while up in Reno while filming you got hurt and we came over to your trailer to check you out. It was an honor to treat you and Lisa. I wish there was so type of adjustment that I could you to fix this health issue. You and Lisa a classy and wonderful couple. The love you show for one another so real and is not one seen with many hollywood couple. We pray daily for both of you daily. Please keep up the fight and beat the odds.
