Precious' Gabby Sidibe Wins New Hollywood Award

The Academy Awards will be in Gabourey Sidibe's future.

Last night's Hollywood Awards marked the start of the award-show season and the Precious star got off to a great start, scoring the New Hollywood award.

Backstage, Gabby — who's making her big-screen debut — rubbed elbows with Benjamin Button's Taraji P. Henson and revealed that she didn't realize it would be such a big deal.

"I think I was extremely naive when I showed up here tonight," the 26-year-old New Yorker giggled to an AP reporter. "This is a big thing."

It is big — and it will get bigger when her movie is actually in theaters on Nov. 6. And then the "real" award shows start: Golden Globes, SAG Awards, Oscars...

Start calling the designers now, Gabby!

Gabby is beautiful girl. She deserve an Oscar Award for Best Actress. I watched the movie last night and it was breathtaking. One of the best movie I watched this year. Mo Nique wow she's good!
