Shocking Report: Rihanna Was Chris Brown's Assault Victim
Chris Brown has turned himself in at an LAPD station, in the wake of their investigation of his being involved in an alleged domestic felony battery against an unidentified female companion early Sunday morning.
And while the police have refused to release the identity of the alleged victim, the L.A. Times is now citing “sources familiar with the investigation” who claim the woman in question is, in fact, Brown’s girlfriend Rihanna.
On Sunday evening, both he and Rihanna had canceled their appearance shortly before the start of the Grammy Awards.
Brown was accompanied by his attorney when he arrived at the Wilshire Division station at about 7:15 p.m. Pacific Time; he was reportedly assigned a total bail of $50,000 and released.
Chris, 19, and Rihanna, 20, had attended a pre-Grammy party together in Beverly Hills Saturday night. Early Sunday morning, they apparently got into an argument inside a car, then continued it on the street. Police were alerted to the fracas, but Chris was gone by the time they arrived. The woman in question – who had suffered visible facial injuries – identified Chris as the attacker.
Rihanna’s publicist has since issued a statement: “Rihanna is well. Thank you for your concern and support.”
