Rihanna "Embarrassed" She Fell in Love with Chris
For nine long months we've been waiting to hear what Rihanna had to say about Chris Brown and the beating he inflicted upon her last Feb. 8. Now, she's finally talking... and her singer ex probably isn't going to like it.
"I fell in love with this person," she tells Diane Sawyer in an interview that aired on Good Morning America Thursday. "That's embarrassing. That's embarrassing that that's the type of person I fell in love with. So far in love. So unconditional that I went back."
Confirming what Star reported Feb. 28, Rihanna returned to Chris after he — according to police notes — punched her in the face so many times her mouth filled with blood and choked her until she nearly lost consciousness.
"I'm a human being," she said of her decision to go back to him. "People put me on a very unrealistic pedestal. All these expectations. I'm not perfect. Also it's pretty natal for that to be the first reaction. It's completely to normal to go back. You start lying to yourself. The minute the physical wounds go away... You want this thing to go away. This is a memory you don't want to ever have ever again."
She also said that she finally walked away from Chris when she realized that girls look up to her — and she didn't want any of them to suffer an even worse fate for staying with their abuser.
"When I realized that my selfish decision for love could result in some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part," she said. "I couldn't be responsible for that. Even if Chris never hit me again, who's to say their boyfriend won't? ... I didn't realize how much of an impact I had on these girls' lives until that happened."
The second part of the interview — airing on 20/20 Friday — Rihanna talks about what happened in the car that night with Chris that left her bloody, bruised and battered.
Meanwhile, Chris gave an interview to MTV that will air tomorrow at 6pm. In the preview clip he says: "My thoughts [when I look back on the incident with Rihanna] were like, 'Why did it happen?' Like, 'What was I thinking? What is wrong with you?' That's what I'm thinking with myself."

I used to not mind what she was, but when news came about Chris Brown did this to her, I immediately thought that she probably did something that set him off. You have to look at both sides of the fence not only the person who actually did the beating. If there is smoke there is fire. She is no angel you know that...do not really like her.
