Sarah Jessica Parker Hired by Halston
Sarah Jessica Parker has landed a job that Carrie Bradshaw would die for — designing for Halston!
The Sex and The City actress was seen sporting Halston on the set of the sequel of her hit movie, which initially sparked rumors that she was going to sign on with the design house. Today comes word that she'll be working for the Halston Heritage division, which is the company's secondary collection that sells at lower price points.
No word on what her exact title will be -- though there's speculation it could be creative director.
The mother of three is not unfamiliar with the design industry. In addition to playing a Manolo-loving fashionista in Sex, the actress created a line for Steve & Barry called Bitten. However, Bitten bit the dust a year after it launched.
Mrs. Matthew Broderick isn’t the first celeb to sign with a major design house. Lindsay Lohan worked with designer Emanuel Ungaro this past fall, though her collection debut was a critical flop.
Hopefully Sarah Jessica's work will be better received.

SJP doesn't deserve the credit she gets for her "style", the credit should go to her Stylist!

And I am sure that Ungaro is kicking themselves in the ass for ever thinking of using Lindsay Lohan, complete no talent that she is..Sarah Jessica has more talent in her little pinkie than Lindsay will ever have.
Halston made a very smart decision bringing in Sarah Jessica..I look forward to seeing what she will bring to that table. -- Art Go to comments page: 1 |
