Sarah Jessica's Surrogate Gives Birth!

Sarah Jessica Parker has two little fashionistas.

The Sex and the City star and hubby Matthew Broderick became the parents of twin girls on Monday when the surrogate carrying their babies gave birth at the East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, Ohio, at around 4pm.

Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick weighed in at  5 lbs., 11 oz., and Tabitha Hodge Broderick was slightly bigger at 6lbs.

Hodge and Elwell are family names on Sarah Jessica's side.

In a world exclusive, Star broke the news — back in April — that the couple were paying surrogate Michelle Ross — a 26-year-old divorcee, who works in a kennel — tens of thousands of dollars to carry babies for them. Following our report, a rep for the couple — who have a 6-year-old son named James Wilkie — confirmed the news, saying: "The entire family is overjoyed."

In May, Star had an exclusive interview with the surrogate's former husband, Joseph Erker, who said that Michelle wasn't even taking care of their own 4-year-old son, Brayden, who she left behind when she moved to Ohio following her 2006 divorce.

“Michelle has kids for other people, but she hardly ever sees her own son!" Erker told Star. “She has only seen him for a total of a few weeks. She even forgot some of his birthdays!”

Meanwhile, before the twins were even born they were helping save SJP and Matthew's marriage! It was less than a year ago that Star reported Matthew’s affair with a 25-year-old, but the couple mended their wounds by bonding over the babies.

“They realize that as bad as the marriage had gotten, it was worth it to hang in there,” a source told Star. “They want to keep the family together.”

Finally! Babies with simply names, people out there come up with the most rediculous names you can't even prounounce!! Good for you Jessica & Matthew!
-- Lisa, Alberta, Canada

So glad the babies are safely delivered
Tabitha reminds me of 'Bewitched'. It is an Aramaic name.
Marion, was that Beaver Cleaver's mothers name? It is a Hebrew name meaning 'of the sea'.
This was also John Wayne's real name.
-- Twins are great

Marion sounds "old", Tabitha sounds bewitching....but

I guess if you have money, you can have anything you want.

The names are strange and contrived.

For what it's worth: Marion is usually the masculine form and Marian the female. Of course, people are entitled to spell their children's names any way they want. And by the way, Tabitha is a biblical name and means "gazelle," if I recall correctly.
-- Nora Namer

Tabitha not so great, Marion, hummm maybe
-- skc

hate the names.

Marion is a boys' name. For a girl it's Marian.

Two of my aunts were fraternal twins, named Marian Aileen and Rosemary Elaine.

Any reason why SJP couldn't carry her own babies? If that were me I'd feel cheated (I am a mother myself).
