DWTS' Shannon Elizabeth Rejects Proposal
Derek Hough and Shannon Elizabeth have been together for only five months (find out how they hooked up), and the 23-year-old pro dancer has already proposed to his Dancing with the Stars partner and live-in love. But hold off on the well wishes — Shannon, 34, turned him down!
"She's enjoying every moment of their romance, but she's not ready to get hitched again," an insider tells Star. The American Pie cutie is in the midst of divorcing The Perfect Storm's Joseph Reitman.
Expect Derek to keep trying, adds the source. "He's very persistent and is used to getting his way."
Meanwhile, when Star asked Derek's sister, Julianne, if Shannon would one day become her sister-in-law, she kept quiet, saying, "I have no idea."

I'm a realist. MOST show biz marriages don't last even 10 years. If this one did, she'd be getting noticeably older while he is in his prime and surrounded by groupies. Just saying.

She should wait until it feels right to her and age does not matter. My husband and I got married after only knowing each other for four months and we are coming up to our nine year anniversary in two weeks. There is no time limit on dating.

they should wait until they both know it's the right time.I'm a firm believer "if it's meant to be it will,whenever that may be"!!!!Time will tell for them!It would be nice to see Shannon as a guest on an episode this season though!Possibly giving us fans a chance to see them dance together again!I wish them LUCK!
