Little House Star's Husband Commits Suicide
Little House on the Prairie child star Sidney Greenbush traded an acting career for the simple life on a horse ranch, but in a shocking turn of events, she's now dealing with her husband's devastating suicide.
Sidney, who alternated with her twin sister Lindsay in the role Carrie Ingalls from 1974 through 1982 on Little House, had been married to veterinarian and horse breeder William “Rocky” Foster for nine years before he took his own life by the corral behind their home in Visalia, Calif., on May 5.
“Rocky was a real cowboy of some renown, and they were a very down-to-earth couple,” a neighbor tells Star. “But some problems had developed between them recently — and it's heartbreaking to think it came to the conclusion that it did.”
According to Tulare County Sheriff 's and Coroner's reports obtained by Star, Sidney, 39, told Rocky, 55, she wanted a divorce on May 3. Two days later, he called her to tell her he was going to kill himself. Sidney called the Sheriff 's Department, but before they could arrive, a family friend found Rocky lying in the rear corral. He had shot himself in the head and despite frantic efforts to save him, he died at a nearby hospital.
“My heart goes out to Rocky's family and Sidney,” the neighbor tells Star. “Even with all their problems, I know she cared so deeply for her husband. But she's a strong woman, and I hope she'll be able to pick up the pieces and move on from this tragedy.”

her soon to be ex must have had some problems prior to this to make him act on his suicidal thoughts, so sad her and the whole family are left to pick up the pieces, and to the person who wrote about people reporting on personal issues, i see this as a great way for people to send their condolences so she does not have to feel alone, esp when it comes to suicide you need support in any form you can get it, i wish the family the strength and love to carry on and move forward with life.
