Terminator Salvation
Rating:
Who's in it: Christian Bale, Sam Worthington
What it's about: Resistance leader John Connor (Bale) battles machines that have destroyed Earth and confronts a new breed of Terminator (Worthington).
Robot love: No wonder Christian Bale was caught cursing on the set. He's barely in this movie. Most of it belongs to newcomer Worthington. He plays an executed killer from the past who wakes up in 2018 to find that scientists have preserved him and turned him into a cyborg: the new model T-800. Director McG is all about the flaming explosions and high-speed chases. But the relentless sense of tension and suspense is missing. Which means this fourth film in the series lacks the magic of the first two.
Long story short: It's just a so-so action movie.
