Baby Boy for Taye Diggs & Idina Menzel

September 3, 2009

Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel are first-time parents!

The Private Practice star and his Tony award-winning wife, who met when they were cast in New York Theatre Workshop production of Rent back in 1995 and married in 2003, welcomed a son into the world. According to Idina's official fan Twitter, @idina_here, the baby's name is Walker Nathaniel Diggs.

"Mother, father and son are all doing well," reps for the couple said in a statement.

Last March, the couple announced they were expecting and later revealed the sex of the baby. However, Taye said they wanted to see what their wee one looked like before naming him.

Guess he looked like a Walker!

Offer your congratulations to the happy couple below.

Hey Anonymous. If you are going to say racist, stupid things have the bulls to put your name on it. He can marry whoever he wants and everyone who does not live in a cave or under a rock knows mixed kids are the BOMB. I am mixed and I know. We get the best of all the features and our skin tone is just right. Name me one ugly mixed person you know.
It will take you some time to think of one so I will give you a few months and then I will check back.. DUMB ACE!

For the jerk that made the comment of it would have been better if it had been from someone of your own race, you suck. Mixed babies are the prettiest babies in the world. I know because I am white and all of my kids have a blick father, mind you they also have the same father. My kids are georgeous. I would not have had it any other way. I am know a grandmother of 5 and still feel very strongly about mixing races.
